Superintendent David O Conner Fails To Support Fellow Officers Statement.
(October 15, 2007)The website has received a letter from David O Conner who is now Area Commander at Inverness Northern Constabulary.In the letter he states that " On the 20th Feb Detective Inspector Macpherson and Detective Sgt MacGillvray called at the victims home address and informed him of the outcome of their enquires.
However a minute prepared for David O Conner by Inspector Angus Macpherson states that the victim was not informed of enquries made by Macpherson.and that Macpherson deliberately withheld vital evidence from the victim so as to assist a William Morrision a reporter of the North Star based at Dingwall.
David O Conner has been asked to supply the information but so far has declined to do so.He further claimed in his letter that no charges could be brought against Morrison "due to lack of corroborative evidence"
David O Conner's letter is signed and has a ref.ADM/08/00/AM/SB.
