Highland Council Press Office Lodge Complaint (June 19, 2012)
Gordon Fyfe senior press officer at the Highland Council today lodged a complaint against the Inverness Courier that they had included a comment on their web-site which was bogus and had not emamated from their press dept.
The comment which has now been removed supported the opinion of Joe Gibbs a absentee landlord based sometimes at Kiltarlity Inverness-shire.Mr Gibbs has held the view that the Drum -ba windfarm development would deter visitors to his Belladrum Two day festival.
However Mr Gibbs failed to report to the Inverness Courier that he also has planning permission granted for 145ft turbines on his own land.
A further complaint has been made today to the PCC that the Inverness Courier failed to give an unbiased view by refusing to include and thus censoring out a balanced view held by others.
