REFUSAL TO HELP BY NORTHERN CONSTABULARY (April 28, 2009)
In a recent letter from Inspector D M Maclean, Area Inspector, Police Station, Portree to a Mr Ian Sanders, he refuses to assist in response to a simple request.
Mr Sanders has made repeated legitimate complaints to the Northern Constabulary regarding vandalism. However, he has been met with an ambivolent style by Inspector Maclean.
Although the Northern Constabulary have been supplied with photographic evidence of the extensive damage, they hold the position that the damage could be accidental and not deliberate.
A legal source has stated, "This must be very distressing for Mr Sanders as it is clear the Northern Constabulary are being off-hand with his concerns"
